And he wrote the Gettysburg Address saying He wanted to finish the work of the fallen soldiers, so they wouldn’t die a pointless death without having gained freedom for others. He kept working towards freedom. And he wanted to encourage others that freedom was possible even if the nation was falling apart at that time.
John brown led the attack on Harper's Ferry and armed the slaves so they could form a rebellion and gain freedom.

The economy was based on manufacturing and commerce Also south believed that hand planting was better but North thought machinery was the way to go so this built up a fight between them.
Eli Whitney was the inventor of the cotton gin. this impacted the Civil War because It made it harder on the slaves in the south because they had to import the cotton and the cotton just made them work harder.
How civil war ended
Union (North) won the civil war because the Confederate (South) Surrendered and Ulysses S. Grant had all wins for the Confederate troops and that is the impact he had on the war.
Confederate Surrendered because they didn't have enough soldiers to get the supplies they needed and the troops were starving. So Robert E. Lee called the surrender and demanded that his troops got to keep they baggage they earned from the war. That is the impact Lee had on the war.
Economies
South believed they were being taxed unfairly compared to the North Because they had to export goods that had tax.
North had yarn, steel, and cotton. South had sugar, tobacco, rice, and cotton
Geography
The south had better farm land than the North because the land in the north was rocky and South had more slaves so things were hand planted which helped the soil. They fought over what was better for different thing which led to the war
