      - creating jobs in low-income or deprived areas - meaning relocation of operations facilities
      - reducing the negative impact of production on communities - e.g. cutting harmful pollution
  - - - managing & maintaining operational assets - equipment, machinery & buildings - so that they have extended lifespans & do not need to be replaced through amage or unnecessary wear & tear
      - increasing the efficiency o the production process to improve business competitiveness - this will usually involve increasing labour and capital productivity; higher-productvity businesses tend to have low unit costs & have a better chance of future profitability than businesses with low-productivity rates
      - researching & developing products & processes that create customer interest & create value - for example, the future of Apple should be secure if it can continue to develop & launch innovative products that have a clear USP.
