Is an organized meeting that consists of joining experts on a certain field to present information, dicuss issues, show trends and give recommendations for a specific action.

First step to organize a symposium is to get information brought with papers and the theme that will be discussed in the meeting
The process of calling for papers is done with trade publications which displays the information of what the symposium is about
There is an Organizer Committee which decide who will be the people representing the symposium. and this depends on the submissions of each presenter
After all these process is done, the paperwork should be checked before the date of the symposium so that it can be published and presented
Not all paperwork will be called, only the most relevant will be selected, they may have same definitions or processes but with different discipline and it is about the same field.

a symposium can have all types of themes, for example if it it about engineering, experts on engineering will go and discuss themes in the symposium; the same happens with medicine related experts, or fashion. and all have in common that is to improve certain actions so that they generate knowledge through discussing.
