lymphatic system functions:

Lymph: a thin watery fluid composed of intercellular fluid
vessels: act as a drainpipe
Lacteals: special lymphatic capillaries
Lymph nodes: filters the lymph
right thoratic duct: recieves lymph from right side of the body
thoratic duct: drains the rest of the body
tonsils: filter fluid
spleen: makes wbc, antibodies, destroys old rbc and thrombocytes, filters waste
Thymus: mass of lymph tissue
Apenditis: inflammation of the lymph nodes
hodgkin's disease: chronic disease of the lymph nodes
Lymphagitis: inflammation of the lymphatic vessels
Splenomegaly: enlargement of the spleen
Tonsillitis: inflammation or infection of the tonsils

Hypoparathyroidism: underactive parathyroid causes low levels of calcium
Cushing's Syndrome: over secretion of glucocorticoids
Addison's disease: decrease secretion of aldosterone
