Has To Be Likeable
*While the character can be evil, they have to be likable. What does likable mean in this sense? I means can be appreciated and has personality that gives a big impact. A lot of stories I've read had villains I despise but I do like them and I can call them a good villain. As for good characters they almost always have a charm that's unique to them, whether it be their cheekiness or their silly confidence, something makes them good. I like to work in the middle characters which is the grey between the black (Bad) and the white (good) because they can lean everywhere and are flexible, because of this, some debate may come up on whether a character is good or bad. I believe we can have a character that sits on the fence.
The tricky thing with these characters is that it is easy to make them fall too much on one side and then takes away the uniqueness of their character.

Display Character To Fit Personality #
If I am to make a character I believe it should match their personality. Like if they are dark hearted they have a dark style. If they are happy, they are bright, ect... I find this gives emphasis on the character and builds their personality more.

Shows Motives
A tragedy someone may suffer or any experience in their past may lead them to a goal. In stories someones tragic story could lead them to want to better the world so they don't have to suffer like they did, or they want the world to suffer like they did, Depends on the character. # # #
Connects to Real Story
When the character get's motivated, it can effect the plot of your story by them wanting to change something for better or for worse.
