Primary survey: Patient one

Patent with no vomitus, bleeding, or oedema
Are there airway noises?
Inhalation noises are present
Can the patient speak full sentences?
Patient is able to speak a full sentence (6-8 words). A breath is needed after each sentence
Is there air movement?
Obvious signs of inhalation and expiration

An initial assessment which identifies injuries or life-threatening conditions. Used on a patient in a timely manner.

xposure
No deformities noted. Temperature slightly low
Management:
Patient re-positioned from tripod stance to semi-fowlers. This ensures an adequate amount of air supply into the lungs.
An extra blanket had been provided to control the patients temperature.
Fingertip probe had been used after a false reading via the dinamap monitor.
