Strengths and weaknesses of the new constitution
Strength
proportional representation made sure small parties had a fair share of seats
Women where allowed to vote as well as men
Voting age was reduced from 25 to 21
No one group or person could have to much power
there was an election for president every 7 years
Central government was more powerful than before, but local governments still had power in the regions
the Reichsrat could delay new laws and regulate the power of the Reichstag.
Weaknesses
Proportional representation led to coalition government that were unstable or found it difficult to have strong policies and often fell apart
lack of a strong government to weakness in a crisis that ended up with the president passing laws without the Reichstag's consent

The Spartacus League were anti-monarchy and wanted a communist revolution. Relied on right-wing nationalist left-wing communist revolutionists
Berlin Freikorps were angry at the terms of the Treaty of Versailles & wanted a strong nation & the return of the Kaiser
