⚠ Global Warming and pollution! ⚠

♻Pollution♻

✅Solutions✅

The air we breathe has a very exact chemical composition; 99 percent of it is made up of nitrogen, oxygen, water vapor and inert gases. Air pollution occurs when things that aren't normally there are added to the air. A common type of air pollution happens when people release particles into the air from burning fuels.

Scientists started investigating the link between air pollution and health. States began passing legislation to reduce air pollution. And in 1970, a milestone year, Congress passed the Clean Air Act Amendments which led to the establishment of the nation's air quality standards.

Attitudes towards our planet are clearly changing. While some sceptics remain, the world is gradually coming round to the idea of man-made climate change and the fact that we have deeply infected the Earth. More and more, the voice of the environmental activist is being heard, with politicians and governments the world over addressing the problem and attempting to reduce their pollution.

☣Effects☣

Many species have been impacted by rising temperatures. For example, researcher Bill Fraser has tracked the decline of the Adélie penguins on Antarctica, where their numbers have fallen from 32,000 breeding pairs to 11,000 in 30 years.

Ice is melting worldwide, especially at the Earth’s poles. This includes mountain glaciers, ice sheets covering West Antarctica and Greenland, and Arctic sea ice.

The sea level has been rising more quickly over the last century.

Precipitation (rain and snowfall) has increased across the globe, on average.

💭opinions 💭

We cannot get rid of all air pollution. ... These steps, as well as many others, are things we all can do to help reduce air pollution. Conserve energy – remember to turn off lights, computers, and electric appliances when not in use. Limit driving by carpooling, using public transportation, biking and walking.

We have the practical solutions at hand to dramatically reduce our carbon emissions, slow the pace of global warming, and pass on a healthier, safer world to future ... Tropical deforestation accounts for about 10 percent of the world's heat-trapping emissions.

How You Can Stop Global Warming ... By using less of it, we can curb our own contribution to climate change while also saving money. ... If that isn't possible for you, take a look at your electric bill; many utilities now list other ways to support renewable sources on their monthly statements and websites.

Our opinions

I think if we cant fix this every thing will be extinct.

I think that global is ruining our enviornments and it is going to be fatal. If we don't get solutions soon we will die!

I believe that pollution is extremely bad for our environments because now pollution has been killing off living organisms that us humans need, I also believe that there is too much pollution in our world now that we can't do anything about it.

Peoples opinions.

Between 2008 and 2012, multiple surveys found that US public beliefs and attitudes about global warming declined by over 10 percentage points. For example, our surveys found that public belief that global warming is happening fell from 71% in 2008 to a low of 57% in 2010 before beginning to rebound.

sea levels have changed over time.

Politicians and academics often assume that public preferences for economic and environmental policies are substitutes. When the economy is bad, the public cares more about short-term economic needs and less about long-term environmental risks. When the economy improves, it provides space for the public to worry more about environmental harm.

What happened? Analysts have suggested many possible causes – from cold weather events to political polarization. And almost everyone has assumed that the Great Recession played a central role. Our recent article in Environmental Politics challenges this view.

lakes ,ponds and rivers are getting polluted Lakes and rivers are common sources for drinking water supplies. Both algae and high nitrate levels cause problems in sources of drinking water. Nutrient pollution builds up in our nation's lakes, ponds, and streams. ... Nationwide, violations of the nitrate limit in drinking water doubled over a 10-year period.

How can we as a country create a solution to stop greenhouse gasses?

1,500 wildlife species sampled are already showing signs of stress from climate change.

Some butterflies, foxes, and alpine plants have moved farther north or to higher, cooler areas.
