Panda Keyboard
Board
She doesn't want numbers on the top row, wants a number layer like a number pad on the keyboard
-
Considering information on what she could get rid of, sounds like she could use something close to a 60% board for something like this
-
-
Find out that she might want this to be able to be tilted because of her hand placement and rolling out. This is very possible with something like the "lets split" board
These have adjustment screws and pads that we could then have it adjusted just the way she likes it.
Layout
I would like her to have ortholinear, but she doesn't really need it. The thought here is that when she has her number pad under the keys, they're lined up and she moves less
She uses the right hand side to use her CTRL and ALT keys and other modifiers. Will have to custom map that layout and make sure that it's set up for how she would naturally type on it.
-
Switches
She specifically said she doesn't want tall keys, or long travel
-
Also mentions she wants tactile, but not clicking
This should be something specific to the point that maybe there are bumpers on the bottom that stop it from traveling on a regular switch ? Or just the speed switch
This would possibly mean that we need to have uniform keys like DSA keycap profiles. We will also have to find out which type of material she's okay with.
Outemu Ice purple switches actually have a hot swappapbe connection already built in?
Apparently a decent amount of Bump and travel as well
Heavier switches tend to have a bit more weighted bump feeling to it. Might be worth it if you want to try a lot of different keys and then find which one gives you the best feed back while also looking for a switch weight you're okay with.

kailh Purple Tactile switches apparently have a nice bump at the top and "well defined" according to reviews
