Mh Elder dragons information

Ceadeus

Ceadeus is an Elder Dragon introduced in Monster Hunter 3.

Physiology
Ceadeus resembles a giant whale with a face similar to a Dunkleosteus. It has a prominent beard of fur and two massive horns, which constantly grow and eventually overtake the creature’s eyes, leaving it blind. Luminous organs line the monster's underside, which turn from blue to red when it is enraged.

Abilities
Ceadeus is the only offline monster players fight (in Monster Hunter Tri) that is able to inflict Dragonblight, a status effect that decreases affinity for a fixed amount of time before disappearing. Other monsters capable of inflicting this ailment include Deviljho and Alatreon, along with Stygian Zinogre in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and it is unique to monsters with the dragon element.

Behavior
The Ceadeus is known to be a rather peaceful creature until provoked. They do not bother humankind unless they feel threatened.

Habitat
It resides in a series of underwater canyons and ruins deep below Moga Island, but is unable to travel onto land.

In-Game Description

Monster Hunter 3/3U

Legendary elder dragons known as both "shining giants of the depths" and "great sea dragons." Not confirmed to exist until recently. The Moga quakes were due to a Ceadeus butting its abnormally long horns into the earth.

Goldbeard Ceadeus is an Elder Dragon and a Subspecies of Ceadeus introduced in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.

Physiology
Although its relationship with regular Ceadeus is unknown, this subspecies is seemingly a fully-grown Ceadeus. Goldbeard Ceadeus is of a darker coloring, having developed a lustrous golden hide and darker brown underbelly, with a more pronounced mane. Unlike the regular Ceadeus, both of its horns are large and symmetrical, overtaking its remaining eye. In addition, both horns can be broken off which yields a total of four carves.

Abilities
Goldbeard Ceadeus is capable of firing a current beam that can be swept from right to left, in addition to the usual vertical attack. It is also known to quickly swim to the top of the ruins, so as to fire a sweeping current beam which affects a wide area.

In-Game Description

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

A rarely-seen subspecies of Ceadeus confirmed to exist deep within ocean ruins. The golden light they cast in the dark depths befits a creature of such legendary status. Sadly, little is known about their relationship to the standard Ceadeus.

Dire Miralis is an Elder Dragon introduced in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. MH3U-Dire_Miralis_Render_001

Physiology: Dire Miralis is a very large, semi-aquatic Elder Dragon. Its body structure is reminiscent of Fatalis, with relatively short limbs and a long tail and neck. Its body is filled with a magma-like substance which pools at the base of the tail, the chest, and at each shoulder. Each of these pools directs magma flow to certain parts of the body. On its back are a pair of wing-like appendages. Seemingly useless in terms of flight, these "wings" feature cannon-like chutes which can extrude globules of magma, both as a means of defense and as a way to jettison excess magma. Dire Miralis's head features a frill-like structure and an upturned snout.

Abilities
Dire Miralis is unique; it can shoot magma balls out of its highly specialized wing plates, which fly into the air and land explosively around the area. Dire Miralis can also be fought both on land and underwater, frequently changing between the two. It is known to use its massive, heavy tail to crush and smack opponents.

Behavior
Similar to that of Fatalis and its relatives, Dire Miralis is very aggressive and territorial. It relentlessly attacks hunters by using its magma filled wing-plates and summoning meteors from the sky.

Habitat
This monster is only known to be encountered in the Tainted Sea. Because of the massive amount of heat its body produces, it is likely that Dire Miralis requires this shallow sea to regulate body temperature and cool it off when it begins to overheat.

In-Game Description

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

Some legends consider this great dragon to be the devil fated to destroy the world, while others claim it is the giant who birthed creation. Is there any way for mere humans to quell its unending rage?

Gogmazios is an Elder Dragon introduced in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. MH4U-Gogmazios_Render_001

Physiology
Gogmazios is a massive Elder Dragon with a body structure similar in nature to that of Gore Magala and Shagaru Magala. It has a large, heavy head with red eyes and rows of sharp teeth. When it uses its Oil laser attack, a glowing pattern, reminiscent of a scowl, is present beneath its chin, giving it the semblance of a second face. Its wingarms feature membranes that almost completely retract when not in use, and its body is covered in thick, powerful scales, carapaces, and spines of an indigo colouration. Perhaps the most notable features of Gogmazios's body are the ever-present covering of a sticky, tar-like substance which it uses to incapacitate prey, and the presence of an ancient dragonator lodged in its back.

Abilities
Despite its enormous size, Gogmazios is fully capable of flight thanks to its incredibly powerful wings and presumably light skeleton. It is capable of firing a laser-like beam of superheated oil at attackers, and can use its immense size and weight to batter opponents into submission.

Behavior
Gogmazios has a highly unusual diet of gunpowder. It eats this substance in vast quantities and is known to raid armories and warehouses in order to feed on it in bulk. It is highly aggressive and will attempt to destroy anything that threatens it or attempts to stand in its way.

Habitat
The natural habitat from whence Gogmazios originated is completely unknown, however it is theorized by the Guild that it may have come from the Swamp or the Old Swamp. Its vast territory and aggressive nature often result in it attempting to attack the Battlequarters and Dundorma.

In-Game Description

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Coated in a thick, sticky fluid, this massive elder dragon appears unhindered by the Dragonator lodged in its back. Eyewitness reports suggest that, despite its massive size, this mysterious behemoth is indeed capable of flight.

Dalamadur is an Elder Dragon introduced in Monster Hunter 4. It is known to inhabit the Speartip Crag and can be encountered at High Rank. MH4U-Dalamadur_Render_001

Physiology
Its appearance is similar to Najarala in terms of body type. It has a snake-like face, with bright red eyes, numerous fangs, and many hook-like spikes along its body which start out clustered around its head and neck, and becoming more spread out along its long body, with a small cluster near the tip of its tail, which is topped with a pair of red barbs that it can rattle in a manner similar to rattlesnakes. Its has a pair of large clawed forearms like Najarala, but the only remnant of hind legs it has are small spurs, similar to pythons, boas, and anacondas. Its chest has glowing vents, which huff steam when it is enraged. Its face and tail will also glow red when in its Raged state.

Abilities
It is capable of using Fire to attack, and can shoot bright blue balls of flame at the hunters, as well as shooting them skyward to where they fall like meteors, similar to Dire Miralis. When enraged it will use a powerful Flamethrower-like attack, first firing straight at the area and then with a sweeping blast, similar to Ceadeus' water blast.

Behavior
Dalamadur lives high in the peaks of the Heavenly Mountains that surround Cathar Village. Its numerous hook-like spines may help it navigate the treacherous terrain, as they may provide a more secure grip than it could generate with its claws and body alone. Local rumors suggest that the falling debris that is common in the Heavenly Mountains is the result of Dalamadur's burrowing. It is not known if Dalamadur travels to other areas.

Habitat
Dalamadur have been seen inhabiting Speartip Crag within Heaven's Mount.
