Germany's economic state had worsened, and the Wiemar republic seemed unable to resolve the situation making many of the German people saw their government as weak and powerless

from 1921-22 Hitler was influenced by the fascists in Italy lead by Mussolini which lead to the Nazis having a clear identity, Hitler also used force to try and take over the Wiemar.
Hitler believed that a takeover was possible as the Nazi party had 20,000 supporters and the SA, and Hitler had built a close relationship with general Ludendorff

Hitler learned that the only way he was going to be able to take power was the legal way of gaining popularity
