    - - Ex: When angry take deep breaths. When feeling anxious try progressive muscle relaxation
    - - Bring in dogs during incarceration to provide emotional support and they have the option to adopt the pet after release
        
        Allows them to be responsible for caring for a pet
        
        They would have to plan how they will care for pet (financially, shelter, food, toys, etc.)
  - - - Ex. Sports teams, community service, game nights, etc.
      - Ex. Getting in touch with family for support
    - - Ex. How to back away from and say no to someone who is trying to tempt them with drugs, alcohol, etc.
      - Have a constant reminder (ex. picture of a loved one) of what their greater goals are
    - - Ex. AA
      - People can come together with similar experiences and talk about how they have dealt with addiction and what they do to cope with those temptations
- - - - Adjusting stimuli to fit the population needs will allow for appropriate levels of stimulation conducive to occupational performance
    - - The tactile stimulation of petting animals has the potential to relieve stress and improve mood.
  - - - Education as an intervention strategy provides the population with facts/research as well as helpful alternatives. This provides education while allowing the population the autonomy to decide for themselves what they will do moving forward.
    - - Development of and participation in new interest will provide a healthy outlet that meets the needs of the populations
