When I used to live in America, we didn't really have an internationalized student body. Most were American, and it was hard being one of the only Koreans in a general white body, was hard. Racism was also involved, and in my opinion, Asiatic racist slurs, such as squinting eyes and saying phrases that 'sound Asian'- are taken less seriously. Still present in our International school, but students here tend to be more open-minded.
