Macbeth
Lady Macbeth
Description: A physical description of Lady Macbeth is that you can tell she is very happy after Duncans death because now that means good things for her. For a mental description is she is very selfish, a manipulator, and likes being in charge and running things.
Actions: Along with Macbeth she convinces Macbeth to kill Duncan. Because of her actions, Macbeth is now a whole other person, which has greatly affected his life, and how he is now.
Qoute 2 this qoute shows that Lady Macbeth is getting worried about her husbands actions and how he is killing more people for his benefits
Naught’s had, all’s spent,

Quote 1: 2.2.9-3; this qoute shows that Lady Macbeth is pushing her husband to kill Banqou and basically telling him he is a coward for not doing more.
Alack, I am afraid they have awaked,
-
-
-
Themes: Ambition; this is a theme that Lady Macbeth is trying to conquer. As she wants to be Queen she convinces her husband to kill Duncan, because she wants this so bad.
Relate- Lady Macbeth can be connected with Macbeth's actions, because she also took place in Duncan's murder, and they both want the same things, as in to be kind and queen.
Duncan
-
Description:After Duncans death you can visually picture in our mind what he looks like, as he was stabbed with a dagger. A mental description is you could tell he was a kind gentlemen. Although the Macbeths were out to murder him he was a good guy, who cared for his country. He took care of others and wanted the best for his town and the people.
Relate: I can relate Duncan to Banqou because they were both killed in order to better Macbeth. Even though he was very close to Macbeth and even helped him
-
-
Theme:I think for the little time we got to know Duncan he was very ambitoius and was determined to be a good king and help others out. He was very opened yet very strong about his feelings.
Malcom
Quote 2: (aside to DONALBAIN ) Why do we hold our tongues,
That most may claim this argument for ours? (2.3.99-101) This qoute shows that Malcolm is tired of keeping qoute and keeping things to himself, he wants more acknowlegment for what he does
Theme: Malcom is very ambitious, he is determined to survive after his fathers death. He doesn't let anything get in his way.
Quote 1: "This murderous shaft that's shot/ Hath not yet lighted, and our safest way/ Is to avoid the aim" (2.3.167-169). this quote is important because this is saying he is leaving because of his dads death
Description: a mental description of Malcolm is he is very cautious, he is smart and thinks before he acts, he also is very controled and seems determined. A physical description of Malcolm since he is the oldest son you can picture him being very mature.
Actions: Just like his brother, he fled to England . Because he does not want to get killed. This could affect the plans of Macbeth too kill them.
Relate: Malcolm is just like Donlbain as they are both going through the same things with their dad and they both are mature and cautious enough to know whats going on.
Banquo
Quote 1: So withered and so wild in their attire that look not like the inhabitants o' the earth, And yet are on't? Live you? or are you aught That may man question? You seem to understand me,By each at once her choppy finger laying Upon her skinny lips : you should be women, and yet your beards forbid me to interrupt you are so (1.3.40-49)
Actions: He goes with Macbeth to visit the witches and the witches tell him that he won't be king but his sons will.
Theme: I think the theme fate vs free will ties in with him because basically he kind of knew something was about to happen with him and Macbeth he just was very cautious and followed what he believed.
Quote 2: this quote is foreshadowing because Macbeth will end up killing Banqou and thats what thats what the witches tell Macbeth
-
-
-
-
Description: A physical description could be when he is killed by the murders. you can imagine him laying there etc. A mental description of him is he is very sympathetic, he likes helping others and you can tell he loves his so.
Witches
Quote 2: this shows that the witches like egging Macbeth on and telling him that he can be powerful and they tell him everything that is gonna happen and kind of push him to do wrong
-
All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Glamis!
-
All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor!
-
All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter! (1.3.51-53)
Theme: I believe the witches are corrupted and rubbing it of on Macbeth. Because now after Macbeth was given his prophecies he is now doing more wrong in order for him to get things.
Quote 1: this qoute shows that the witches are tempting and trying to tell him that he is powerufl and can defeat anyone
All hail, Macbeth, thou shalt be king hereafter!
Thou shalt get kings, though thou be none.
So all hail, Macbeth and Banquo! (1.3.70-71)
Relate: I think that Macbeth and the Witches could relate too each other by their actions. As the Witches would tell Macbeth whats to come and the advice they give him, he follows. So you could say their actions can relate to each other
Actions: The biggest thing that I think the Witches did in this story is when they told Macbeth what would happen. This affected Macbeth, because know he is a whole other person and doing wrong.
Description: A physical description of the witches when I read is them being in witch costumes being all magically and stuff. A mental description is that, they kind of seem like dramatic people, I feel like they like starting drama. They don't really care what you will feel after they talk so they are kind of selfish. They also are very sneaky and go around certain people, which is very sneaky.
Murders
Actions: The Murders help kill Banquo for Macbeth, which has affected Fleance, as his dad is now dead. And this could affect Fleance because now they are gonna go after him
Theme: Not only did Lady Macbeth corrupt Macbeth but I think the witches took place in this. They told him everything basically that he should do and that will help him be king. So maybe by this he felt pressured to do it.
Quote 1: I am one, my liege Whom the vile blows and buffets of the world Have incesed that I am reckless what I do spite in the world. (Act 3 scene 1, Page 1) This shows that the murders don't care what they do and will do anything to make them happy cause they don't the outcome
Relate: The Murders relate with Macbeth and Lady Macbeth in a way, as they all have killed or "helped" kill someone in the acts we have read so far.
Quote 2: True my lord (Act 3, Scene 1, Page 1) This is what all the murders say after Macbeth was telling them after explaing how they should hate Banqou and how he was there enemy.
Description : When I think of the murders I think of them wearing all black and carrying weapons , as they kill, Banquo. Mental: Obviously they don't really have a good heart since they go around doing these deeds for people. I think they aren't really smart as the killed Banqou and just let his son get away. I feel like they are kind of all over the place and very unorganized.
Donalbain
Relate: Donalbain could relate to Fleance's actions because after running away, after their fathers passing, they both had fled so they wouldn't get killed.
Theme: Fate vs Frree will is a theme connected to him because he also left to save himself as he could put the pieces together that he could be killed next, since his father was. So he decided to take care of himself.
Description: After finding out about his fathers death and having to travel far in order to keep him safe, you can probably tell that his physical description right now is tired and you can see he is up. Some mental descriptions is he had a good heart, because he wants his brother to be safe, he is very quiet, and very shy.
Actions: After his father was killed he fled to Ireland. This could affect Macbeth's family and ruin their plans
Quote 1: (2.3.123-130) This qoute shows that Donalbain is nervous and doesn't feel safe about all the deaths. So he is talking about Malcolm about what to do next.
What should be spoken here,
-
Hid in an auger-hole, may rush, and seize us?
-
-
Fleance
Action: When the murders, murder Banqou, Fleance leaves the scene and runs away, so he isn't killed.
physical description: 10 year old boy, by his age you can infer that he is short and very playful. Something mental about him is he is slightly immature due to his age, he is very young so doesn't really think .
-
Relate: Someone that can be related to him is, the sons of Duncan, whom also fled so they wouldn't get killed, after their fathers had been killed.
Macduff
Description; Mental : He is very sly as he can understand want Macbeth is doing. He is kind of smart and he can inference whats about to happen.
1 qoute : Those that Macbeth had slain (Act 2 Scene 4 , Page 2) this qoute shoes that Macduff is very sneaky and goes around to get information and to tell people.
Theme: Ambition is something that describes Macduff he wants things to go back to normal in Scotland . So he is going to do anything to make things normal
Description: Physical; In the part of Duncans murder,Macbeth had been very exhausted so he probably had circles under his eyeys. Mental; At the beginning of the play you can tell Macbeth is very kind hearted and he cares about people other than himself. Now as he has committed murder, he is very selfish. He doesn't care what happens as long as it is good for him.
Quote 2:(to the SERVANT) Go bid thy mistress, when my drink is ready,
She strike upon the bell. Get thee to bed.
act 4.scene 1. 31-33) This is to show that Macbeth is following through with the murder of banqou
Quote 1: I have done the deed. Didst thou not hear a noise? (2.2.14) this quote shows that Macbeth had killed Banqou and this is the start of him basically going crazy.
Relate: You could say in some way the murders are like Macbeth. They all have killed someone and their actions have led to a big mess.
Theme: Corrpution; I believe Macbeth has been corrupted by his wife, Lady Macbeth. She convinces him to kill Duncan, and after a lot of convinces from her he does so.
Actions: In order to be king of another place, Macbeth Kills Duncan. Not only does this affect him but also his wife. Lady Macbeth also took part in this crime, although she did not kill anyone she will still get blamed if someone finds out
