Median
1,2,3,4,5 3 is the median
when you wanna find the middle
number the numbers least to greatest. then, find the middle. if there's an even amount of numbers, add the two middle numbers then divide by two
Mode
1,1,3,4,5,6 So count the numbers and see which one has the most, 1 is the mode.
data has many repeated numbers.
To do it you have to count the amount of numbers in a sequence. Whichever repeats more is the mode.
Mean
People use the mean when they want to find the average of a set
of numbers
The mean of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 would be 5 because when you add all the numbers up you should get 45 and then you devide it by 9 which makes 5.
To find find the mean there are two steps, the first one is add all the data together , then you divide the answer you got from adding all the numbers by the number of numbers of data. That would be you rmean.
Range
first order the numbers from least to greatest.then count how many numbers are between the biggest and smallest numbers
12 34 56 78 98 107. 95 is the range
The Range is the length between the least and greatest numbers in a sequence.
Plots
Line Plot
To draw a line plot you draw a line with numbers underneath it ( numbers from the data) Draw the same amount of X's over the number as it repeats in the data. Then you have a line plot.
Box Plots
Median
You will have a numberline and you will find the median, then you will have the lower and upper quartile, then find the medians of that then you will make a box over the number line with the median and then add the whiskers by adding dots to the minimum and maximum value.
histogram
draw a line horizontally and a line vertically and join them together to form a graph, then number them with the data, and draw boxes that measure up with the data.
