Geography
Ganges River
The Ganges River is believed to purify you if you bathe in it. It is also home to lots of wildlife. Farmers also will farm along the flooding areas of the river bank after monsoon season because the soil is rich with nutrients.
Indus River
The Indus River is a big river used for farming when it floods in monsoon season so that it can grow crops.
Himalayan Mountains
The Himalayan Mountains are the biggest mountain range in the world. They also kept out many intruders leaving the Indus Valley people peaceful.
Subcontinent
India is called a subcontinent because it is a huge piece of land and it sticks out of Asia making it look like a continent. But, is not a continent so we call it a subcontinent.
Monsoons
Monsoons are big rain storms that happen seasonally in India. It overflows streets, rivers, and canyons.

Social Structure
Brahmans
The Brahmans were the highest caste in India. They were considered the priests and religous leaders.
Untouchables/Dalits
The Untouchables were the people that did not follow the Hindu religion and the higher castes would refuse to make eye contact, touch, or even step in an "Untouchables" shadow.
Kshatriyas
The Kshatriyas were the warriors, kings, and rulers. They were the second highest caste.
Vaisyas
The Vaisyas were the merchants and tradesman who sold items. They are the third highest on the caste.

Sanskrit
Sanskrit was the language that the Aryans spoke however, later on the people of the Indus Valley Civilization started to speak Sanskrit too when the Aryans came to the Indus Valley Civilization.
Culture, Beliefs, and Art
Samsara
The Hindus belived in reincarnation which is Samsara but, once you have reached moksha then you are no longer going to return to earth. #
Moksha
In the Hindu religion they believed in multiple lifes however when you have finallly reached moksha means when you have lived a good life and are ready to move on from planet earth. #
Karma
In the Hindu religion they believe that there is a consequence for everything otherwise known as karma. So if you do something bad something bad will happen to you. If you do something good then you will be rewarded.

In Hinduism they believe in multiple gods which is polytheism. #

Hinduism
Hinduism is a religion that originated in India. They worship multiple gods and believe in reincarnation. Once you have reached Moksha then you are no longer reincarnated.
Buddhism

Nirvana
Nirvana is pretty much Moksha but for Buddhists you can reach Nivana by following the eightfold paths.

The middle way is the balance between living the good life according to Buddhism and not being to crazy.
