The person should be in possession of Electrical Construction Operator Level 1 card known as Elconop 1 card for a period of at least one year. Elconop 1 is issued by an employer as a proof that a person has received on-the-job training by performing tasks as laid down in the Government Gazette. In Elconop 2 course, the student is assessed on the following unit standards:
On completion of the course, the candidate will return to the employer for three months’ on-the-job exposure of the training, after which the candidate is required to undertake the Elconop 2 final test. Only on successfully passing the final test is the candidate promoted to Elconop 2
Requirements:
- Medical Fit
- Not color blind
- Basic literacy
EXIT ASSESSMENT
Comprehensive assessment on all of the above via a full installation task on plan, install, wire and power off testing.
