learner- inclusive, whereby the learner themselves creates the options (P.167), is preferable and most likely to encourage creativity across the curriculum. I feel we have this luxury with our own children ad parents can encourage this self driven , self discovery, learner inclusive behaviour akin to Claire Young home schooling her children in R1 chapter 12. As she says 'we all home school, unofficially' I believe we should, sadly some parents do not and their children suffer greatly. These children are most in need of creativity being fostered within the school day across all areas of the curriculum. However, within a class setting with so many children and limited time and resources a certain amount of planning has to be involved which invariably means at best it becomes learner- considerate, whereby children get options, this is still better than being dictated to and totally prescribed.
