A proposed new law is called a 'BILL'
Debated in Dail and Senad
Written into law/constitution
A change to the consitituion is called an ammendment and must be decided by the poeple in a special election known as a 'Referendum'
New laws or changes in the current law are proposed in the Dail or Seanad
Constitution
The President signs off on new law ensuring it is Consitutional
President can ask the Supreme Court to review the proposed law to ensure its constitutionality.
