Cell Structure
Plant Cells
-

-
-
-
-
Chloroplasts- contain chlorophyll, sites of photosythesis
Cell wall- made from cellulose, strengthens the cell
Vacuole- filled with the fluid 'cell sap', vacuole helps give the plant cell its shape
Bacterial Cells
-
-
-
-
-
Plasmid DNA- a small, commonly circular, section of DNA that can replicate independently of chromosomal DNA. Can be transferred from one cell to another, allows bacterial cells to move genes between cells.
Chromosomal DNA- the DNA of a bacterial cell is not found in a nucleus, is usually found as one circular chromosome
-
Prokaryotic Cells
E.g. Bacterial cells
Bacteria has a single loop of DNA, small loops of DNA (plasmids), a cell membrane, a bacterial cell wall and cytoplasm
