The key to ending suffering is reaching nirvana, which can be done by living according to the Noble Eightfold Path (also known as the Middle Way).

Monasticism (sangha)
When of the First Council, the religious group (sangha) turned out to be more organized and certain ceremonies and guidelines were set up for the sangha. Hopefuls were to shave their heads and wear a yellow robe. To join the sangha, competitors must pay regard at the feet of appointed priests and pronounce three times the Three Refuges in the Buddha, the dharma, and the sangha. Around this time, devout structures (viharas) started to be developed to suit priests on their voyages.

Introduction
In this essay I will be writing about the practices of Buddhism, Judaism and Islam.
Buddhism
The first religion introduced is Buddhism, a religion with about 488 million followers known as Buddhists. The country with the most Buddhists is China. They respect the Buddha, the founder of Buddhism called Siddhatta Gotama.
Judaism
Judaism, which we primarily know their followers as Jews, is a religion originating in the Middle East over three thousand and five hundred years ago.
Islam
The final religion introduced is Islam, it's followers known as Muslims. Originating in Arabia, they believe that there is one god, and the Islamic word for god is Allah.
Conclusion
Each religion has its different practices that we should respect. Every religion is unique on it's own.
