Strategic Plan of Tallinn University of Technology 2020:
1. Internationally outstanding university of engineering and technology, which brings together motivated employees and ambitious students.
2. The university, relying on academic competencies and professional management, responds actively to the needs of the rapidly developing society and is involved in tackling the challenges of the digital era.
3. Cooperation between the university, enterprises and the public sector contributes significantly to knowledge and welfare in the society.
https://www.ttu.ee/university/structure/strategy/The current TTU Structure does not show any communication between Schools and TTU Council, however, once we looked at it closely, we realised the Deans along with staff representative's sit in the Council. So we tried to bring these out with our structure.
There is also no clear idea on how they will cooperate with enterprises etc, but as the Council meets with Board of Governors (which includes people who work in private sector) there is an opportunity to discuss this.
They should also include more international people, maybe include them in the Council level to be compete internationally.
Different departments between schools should also be more connected. There is one dean for each, but this is not enough, more communication between Schools and Departments is needed.
Also, no link exists between Administrative and Support Structure and Council, we have created a new connection as without support, the council will not be able to achieve it's goals.
When it comes to separating staff and line management, we have added it in brackets where relevant, however, the Management team also includes people who are most likely making both line and staff decisions. The one part of the structure that is clearly line management is Administrative and Support Structure.
