There are no legal requirements for QA. It is simply the formalisation of good management practice and leads to greater control of the various processes.

It is becoming more common for Clients to request QA Accreditation to ISO 9001 as a prerequisite for Tendering. Therefore companies with QA Accreditation stand better chance of winning work.
Encourages all staff to accept responsibility for their own work and incorporate the required degree of skill & care.

CONCLUSION
There are clear benefits in rigorous QMS. However, any management system is only as good as the people implementing it.
