Etiology
RSV (Respiratory syncytial virus) moves down the respiratory tract by means of cell-to-cell transfer causing bronchiolitis
Viral respiratory tract infection, primarily seen in children < 2 y.o.
Seen in premature infants, infants younger than 6 months of age, infants with congenital heart disease, CF, leaked immune systems or neuromuscular disease
