Contrasting views
Idea of 'nuclear family' increasingly less popular- though norm. Less traditional types include single parents ans same-sex couple with or without children.
Some say 'family values' are harder to absorb in a less traditional family. Some argue values exist regardless of who makes up the family.
Some place less emphasis on the importance of the family, arguing emotional attachments are often more important than blood connections. Some argue that 'family' who provides you with support should consist of who you want.
