Reflection
I'm reminded of a unique situation, whereby I had only 3 students in a course. It should've been canceled, but it wasn't because some needed it for graduation.
Student #1 took the course before, and did poorly because of family issues. She was particularly motivated this time, and she was very vocal about her strategies to earn an "A". I believe that she engaged in most of the strategies below
Student #2 was a full-worker cook and father. He didn't have much time for studying; he kept that to himself. From what I can tell, he at least engaged in strategy #2. #
Student #3 had no clue about self-regulated learning. By the end of the term, he had negotiated with the others to try to convince me to give a take-home final (and an opportunity to cheat) (strategies 9 and 15 below). # #
Did he have ADHD, I wonder, among other conditions?
