2. Digital photography process
2.1. Understanding of the brief

2.6. Experimentation of photographs looking at positioning and camera

3. Reviewing images
3.1. Capture ‘Stop. Go!’ images
3.2. Download all images using Adobe Bridge or other transfer software
3.3. Save to a folder
3.4. Using Adobe Bridge – Rotate, Cull, Sort and Rename images
(applying metadata that includes your name, the image name and
keywords to describe the image)
3.5. Backup your files to your USB
3.6. Seek verbal feedback from teacher noting potential improvements
1. Complete in class flip book stop motion tutorial
1.1. Each team will pick a topic and hand draw a 16 frame (A6) flip book
animation
1.2. Images will be scanned (300 dpi) and placed on the shared drive
(Graphic Arts) in a named folder
1.3. Each member will copy the files to their own computer and rename
them in number order for use in making their own iMovie file
1.4. Teacher will demonstrate iMovie
4. Enhance Images
4.1. Use Adobe Photoshop to crop, straighten, adjust tone, brightness
and contrast
4.2. Adjust individual images – make sure they all conform in height,
width, DPI and colour mode (for example 1024 x 768, 72 dpi, RGB)
4.3. Use iMovie to create final stop motion video (save file)
4.4. Export final as a .mov or .mp4 file
4.5. Confirm with teacher that final movie meets project requirements
4.6. Upload the enhanced digital images and .mov file to Connect

BRIEF:
Stop motion is an animation technique that physically manipulates an object so
that it appears to move on its own.
During class students will form groups of 3 or 4 to develop a stop motion shoot for
an in class exercise to produce a flip-book from scanned hand drawings. Final
photo files will be placed on the shared drive for individual students to create their
video file. All students will participate and give feedback on the process and take
notes for their electronic visual diary.
After this students will develop their own concept for the assessment task using
one of the following words convey the meaning/feeling in a creative way, while
spelling out the word; Fluffy, Light, Hard, Soft, Dark, Hairy, Round, Spikey
All process work and feedback collected must be shown in your EVD for
presentation.
