In both poems, the speaker expresses dependence and an infatuation with another being, supporting the idea that one cannot live without the other. To contrast in “Conjoined”, we see the opposite perspective to wanting to break free from the constraints of these ties in a relationship.

- Conclusion- It is clear that the in a relationship the fusing of two beings lives can take over a person individuality. From one perspective we see innocent love and lust. However, on the other side, we see the draining effects of it these reliant behaviors.
