        Story delivers idea of how Lale had to become the tattooist and work for the Nazis solely for the fact that he would continue living and hold some importance in the eyes of the Nazis
        
        Even though he held some importance, he was still a Jew. When his job was over his time was supposed to be over.
        
        "'Work will make you free'. This is your first lesson, your only lesson. Work hard. Do as you are told and you will go free."
        
        This is what the protagonist had to do for survival.
        
        I was disgusted by this as the Jews' right to live was taken away from them, and they had to resort to working as slaves to prolong their lives.
        
        This is relevant to our world now as what is currently happening in Syria is not straying too far from the Holocaust. A refugee crisis is blooming from this. People have been tortured and imprisoned for being activists of human rights.
        
        Police shot black man whose cellphone was mistaken for a weapon. Is this due to prejudice and stereotypes about black people? Could this really be an honest mistake?
        
        Although this is negative, it is a difficult problem to solve in everyday life, and is not at a point in where it can be solved with a simple solution. Basing this off of the problem in Syria, it is likely unable to be solved through peaceful ways.

        This kind of goes against what we currently do as humans as we are generally more accepting about other races in our country
        
        In New Zealand, we are highly based around immigrants and people from other countries, showing how we are more accepting
