        My mission is to help each child succeed,and "this cannot be done if [I] berate them for stuggling or failing"(How to Handle, 2018 ).
        
        Identify Struggling Learners.
        
        COMMON SIGNS OF STRUGGLING LEARNERS: failing to complete homework, frequent absences from school, reading/writing which is far below grade level, avoiding reading out loud, test anxiety or poor performance on tests, "acting out" or being noticeably withdrawn, an inability to focus on tasks, and significant differences in abilities relating to different subject areas (Ettac.org).
      - 2. DIFFERENTIATE
        
        Find the way that works for each student.
        
        "One very common reason for learning struggles is that the child has not yet been taught in a way that works for him ("10 Tips for Reaching, 2018)".
        
        A "GO-TO" LIST FOR DIFFERENTIATION: Learning Stations, Multisensory Instruction (visual, tactile, auditory, and kinesthetic),Think-Pair Strategy or "I Do, We Do, You Do", grouping according to level, learning style and strong/weak pairs, various types of "free study" and/or reading comprehension activities, open-ended projects or choice activities such as "What Can I Do Nows", and teaching "up" (Guido, 2017).
        
        1. CREATE

        Focus on creating a positive classroom climate overall with clear rules/procedures, a weekly class meeting, "Star Student", and frequent group games .
