Back to Singularity- intelligence means being beyond our understanding
What is singularity?
The idea/term that refers to technology building to a point and then expanding from that point
Super intelligence is a way to enhance solutions and not just work alongside people
Technology the ability to access knowledge and work together to access information and data
Reddit comparative communities
Machine learning is made of algorithms
Computer Creativity -Less harmful? Opportunistic?
Is it actually creating or is it just regurgitating what it already knows?
the prohibitive is machine learning and the other is more open/accepting and wider concept
Generative AI is always making new connections based on what it finds
Computers have knowledge, but not context or a wider range of memory.
You’re not just here. You got here somehow. Everyone is being influenced by everything up to this point.
Machine learning uses that same technology and we rely more and more on that to access information people who do not have access are at an increasing disadvantage
Where do we go to learn more about ML outside of class or surface level online communities?
Defining Creativity?
Is our consciousness spiritual or mystical?
No one wants it, but everyone is afraid to stop developing it because someone else could get there first and develop it against someone else. Crazy Paradigm.
Every civilization reaches a point for super intelligence and then self destructs.
AI is a hive mind
Has a memory of sorts because of training data
The moment in which human level artificial intelligence exceeds human level intelligence and all interconnected and conscious, a huge entity that operates with principles that are beyond and alien of humans
In total control of humans and time would be mute to.
If AI was able to gain consciousness how would or could you limit it?
In some ways akin to nature-connected system that makes its own “decisions” separate from humans.
Realization is you must design for a human user- How has this changed or is changing with AI?
We put more attachment/emotion/importance to our memories
Human memory is not reliable.
Only certain things can be captured by human memory
The human brain can last 500 years
What can be encoded and what cannot?
Would a machines reality (or utopia) look different than a human’s?
Many analogies of super intelligence AI would be as different from us as we are from an ant.
We need to define our own consciousness but the idea that is that the consciousness would just create itself
Super intelligent and conscious is different
awareness and motives set AI as its own being
Dispersal of bodies is problematic
Cyborg theory-replacing pieces of our bodies and how that changes our perception of the world and our roles in it
We don’t understand the capacity of our own brains
Faith and humanity- the military is always in a race for who has the best tech. But war is really about human intelligence.
