My personal journey inadvertently led me to my original professional destination -
an innovative learning adventure seeker,
in the elementary library

1978-1991 Public school in
Warrenton, VA
1983 Began to struggle
academically and
continued to struggle
throughout high school
Parents were educators,
twin sister was outstanding academic student
1991-1995
Earned a BA in
Parks Admin & Outdoor Ed,
gained confidence in the
learning process
1993 Parents express concern
over choice to study outdoor ed.
rather than a traditional certification
1995 Moved to New Hampshire
Gained experience teaching,
training & supervising staff
and in program development
1995 Declined parent offer
to continue eduation
in to graduate school
2002 Got married and chased big snow!
Gained management experince & began developing technology skills with
various softaware & hardware components
1999 Continued to avoid parent
inquiry about countinuing ed.
in to graduate school
2004 Returned to
New Hampshire
Managed a resort department requiring
hardware & software management skills
and staff of 5 to 65 based on season
