Adolescence- Transitional period between childhood, and adulthood.

Intimacy- E.E. Theory, ability to form close relationships.
Emerging Adulthood- For some in modern cultures, the period where one bridges the gap between adolescence, and adulthood.

Stages
Pre-Operational- P.s Stage where a child learns to use a language but does not comprehend mental operation.
Sensorimotor Stage- P.s Theory, stage where infants know the world in terms of their sensory impression, and motor activities.
Concrete Operation Stage- P.s Theory, stage where children gain the mental operations allowing them to think logically.
Formal Operation- P.s Theory, stage where people gain the ability to think abstractly.

Critical Period- Critical period when exposure to stimuli or experiences produces proper development.
