- - - - Reflection: In my opinion, Level 3 is the hardest of the 5 levels of evaluation. As the Simonson text mentions, it is hard to know when the transfer has occurred. For some students, this could happen early in the course, after a major assignment or discussion. For other students, this transfer may not occur until the end of the course. The instructor must be strategic in their timing of this level of evaluation. Possibly, distant instructors could have a pre-evaluation, mid-evaluation, and post evaluation to ensure they get the best results.
