The story is set in Verona
and it is divided in 5 acts
plot
The Montagues and the Capulets are two families in conflict. During a party Romeo, the son of Lord Montague, falls in love with Juliet, the daughter of Lord Capulet. With the help of Friar Lawrence they marry secretly the next day, but their marriage isn't destined to be happy, in fact Romeo decides to sacrifice himself thinking that Juliet is dead and when she wakes up and finds him dead she decides to kill herself in turn.
With this story Shakespeare wanted to show that love is stronger than anything, but also that hatred kills and creates pain, in fact at the end, the two families decide not to fight anymore because they have lost their dear children: Romeo and Juliet.
