Ms. Smith's Classroom Innovation Lab
3-D Printers
This space will contain devices used to three-dimentionally design, and even print items that can be used in the classroom. This is a great way for students to understand abstract models in examples, as well as create and use materials that may not already be in the classroom.
3-D Design
Doodling
I want my students to be able to not feel ashamed to get a little off topic. I want to encourage my students to doodle whenever they may feel themselves getting a bit stuck or distracted. Doodling can be healthy for the mind, also provides the brain a "rest" in between lessons.
Lowe's Holoroom
This item will be a portable device which can be used for virtual reality. Teachers can utilize this device in lessons where it is beneficial for students to go around the world virtually, and see things that cannot be seen inside the classroom.
Raspberry Pi
This device is a more practical approach for learning and fun. This could be used in designing projects, as well as presenting them.
Sewing Machine
To keep things simple, I chose to place a sewing machine in my innovation lab. I believe it is important for students to learn how to do common things, such as sew fabrics.
