Tectonic Hazards

Plate boundary types
Constructive
Convection currents create divergent movement of plate boundaries.
Magma fills the gap and creates frequent volcanoes.
Destructive
Oceanic + continental crust converge via magma convection. Dense oceanic crust subducted, forming volcanoes from supply of molten rock.
Conservative
Parallel convection currents cause plates to slide parallel to each other (against of moving in same direction)
No volcanism due to no magma seeping through.

Protection
:mountain: Earth barriers can physically halt lava flow as well as directing it away from urban areas.
