Fascist state: It was evident that the Great Depression caused the uprise in the Fascist party. The reason for this movement was because of economic turmoil, social unhappiness, bad leaders, ineffective government, and an increasing fear of socialism. The leader behind this was Benito Mussolini. He gained a lot of support after 1920. Between 1925 and 1931, the fascist party allowed for a one-party dictatorship.
