- - - - Herbert Hoover was the president of the United States during the Great Depression.
  - - - The social conditions in America during the Great Depression were devastating. During the Great Depression, since the unemployment rate was so high, the citizens of the United States experienced a large downfall from their optimism in the roaring 20's into the despair that the 30's brought. Many Americans were also subject to losing their houses because of the economic debt that the stock market crash brought with it. As the prices skyrocketed with the decrease of trade, the levels of stress that fell on the eldest family members doubled in the sense that they weren't able to adequately provide for their family at least 70% of the time. Another stigma that became reality at this point in time was the direct correlations between people and social classes. There were once again clear social classes based on who had enough money to keep their families well provided for, as opposed to those who scrounged for their last cent. Overall, the social conditions in America at this time were devastating.
- - - - Anti-semitism was the oppression against those of a Jewish religion. The Jewish religion was one of the stigmas that the Nazis saw to be unlawful or unworthy of the German ace. The mass killings of Jewish people became common in Nazi Germany, and Jews were directly targeted as the victims of attacks and the inhabitants of concentration camps across the country. Overall, the unfair thoughts led to devastation and a great loss of life.
    - - The Nuremberg Laws were the laws that went along with the Nazi views of anti-semitism. The Nuremberg laws stated that German Jews were not allowed to marry or have realtions with "normal" German people and that they were basically social outcasts. This was extremely unfair to the Jewish people, and these laws embodied many of the racial ideaologies of Nazi Germany.
