        When an animal was sacrificed, a Haruspex might examine its entrails
        
        He would especially look at the liver. The future could be read by the liver's size, shape, colour, texture and if it had spots on it
        
        After reading the entrails, he would tell the sacrificer whether the gods were favouring him or not
