Industrial Revolution: Good or Bad
Railroads
Good
It was a cheap way to transport goods and other hand made tools.
Railroad boom had created hundreds and thousands of jobs for both railroads and miners.
The railroads helped with agricultural and fishing in England and other countries. It was easier to make to travel, railroads encouraged country people to take other jobs in other cities.
Bad
Some jobs have been doubled and even tripled, their was also terrible work conditions. Like long, hard working hours, and no safety.
Since people have been going to other cities for jobs, people have been getting diseases because people weren't immune of the city.
The railroads caused pollution in the air which caused made disease even worse and harder to breath
Light Bulbs
Bad
We have to pay extra to have light and if we only had candles we wouldn't have to pay the light bill.
When the power is off we have to depend on candles to see.
When we use lights it cost a lot we get money taken away the more we use it.
It produced a lot of waste
Good
The light bulb gives us light to see where ever we go.
We get a better view of things that we wish to see.
We don't have to be constantly buying candles.
We don't have to be constantly buying matches
Bad facts
repetitive motion scan start to hurt the body.
When working in the factory you would work sixteen hours a day for 6 days and only got paid 8-10 dollars.
Children left school to work in factories with very little pay.
The conditions of working in the factories were awful.
The factories were one of the worst places to work in
good facts
It gave them some experiece to make clothing.
People able to communicate with others and make friends
Woman were able to work in the factories
If you were more skilled you got paid more than others.

It was quicker and easy to sew clothes and it took one day
The sewing machines helped because people used their hands to sew clothes with needles
You save money and its easier to make design
It was easy, quick, and good for people they didn't hurt themselves as much as with needles
Bad
You had to learn how to use the sewing machine and it was more diffcult.
A sewing machine didn't always work the way you wanted it to work. It didn't always stich thing right
When you make clothes with a sewing machine you only have a limited chocies.
With a sewing machine you can't do certain projects
