Highland Clans
The ruggedness of the land seperated the Highlanders into small groups-clans,led by a chief.
Currently there are more than 500 clans maintaining and celebrating Scottish traditions.
Highland Games
Held from Spring to late Autumn,in the different range of events they offer.
Held in the means to recruite the best fighting men for the chief of a clan.

Highland Dress
To wear on formal occasions .
Consists of a kilt and other pieces of clothing,depending on the occasion.
Food and drink
Traditionally served the 25th of January to commemorate the poet.
Whiskey is their speciality.
Haggis is the national dish,containing sheep's 'pluck'and other ingredients .
Ceildh
Traditional social gathering held in village halls or hotels.
Playing folk music and dancing.
