Shodo, is an art from more than a thousand years ago. It is an artistic way of writing the language of Japanese. It's also referred to as, Japanese Calligraphy. It was originally brought from China during the Heian Period.

Sushi

Traditional Japanese Origami is when paper is created into the shape of an object, due to specific folding patterns for every different artwork.

Japan has many different types of Traditional Dance. Two of the major types of dance are, Noh and Kabuki. Noh is art through music drama. It's when masked actors dance through the music, acting out the song.Kabuki is similar, it's when actors dance with make-up, costumes and props to act the song.

Sushi is vegetables, rice and/or fish is wrapped in seafood.

Ramen is wheat noodle and soy sauce, served with meat, green onion, seaweed, egg and other ingredients.

Tempura is fried seafood and vegetables, eaten as a snack.

Miso soup is a common side dish, consisting of tofu, vegetables and seaweed.

Gyudon is a bowl of rice, topped with beef, then seasoned with different ingredients and spices.

In Japanese it's known as 'Ukiyo-e' or 'pictures of the floating world'. It's used as decoraton and showing high status.

Haiku

Sort Japanese poetry, composed of; 3 lines, 17 syllables, describes nature and uses the senses.
