Cardiovascular System
-
-
Left Atrium
Pectinate muscle in auricle.
Entrances from pulmonary veins.
Exit to left ventricle through left AV valve
Left Ventricle
Trabeculae carneae on internal wall surface.
Two papillary muscles anchor chordae tendinae
Superior exit to aorta through aortic semilunar valves
Right Atrium
Pectinate muscle: ridges on anterior wall and within auricle Fossa Ovalis: oval depression on interatrial septum
Right Ventricle
Trabeculae carneae: irregular muscular ridges inside ventricular walls.
Papillary muscles: cone-shaped projection extending from internal ventricle wall
Chordae tendineae: (heart strings) thin strands of collagen fibers attaching to AV valve9
Right Coronary Arteries- 1)Right marginal artery: Supplies right heart valve
2)Posterior interventricular artery: supplies posterior left & right ventricle
Left Coronary Arteries- 1)Circumflex artery: supplies left atrium & ventricle
2)Anterior interventricular artery: Supplies anterior surface of both ventricles, supplies most of interventricular septum

Electrocardiogram!--electrodes detect electrical signals of cardiac muscle cells .1)P wave--electrical changes of atrial depolarization originating in SA node. 2)QRS complex--electrical changes associated with ventricular depolarization, Atria simultaneously repolarization. 3)T wave--electrical changes associated with ventricular repolarization
