The Book of Job.
Job was a wealthy, honest and religious man.
The devil wanted to test Job's faith in God, and caused him great suffering.
Even though the devil took away Job's livelihood and home, Job still remained faithful
This shows that even through suffering, they should love God, and God has a plan for all of us.
Christian beliefs.
Christians believe that God gave people free will, and that suffering is caused by humans misusing their free will.

Two types.
Moral.
Caused by others, e.g. murder.
Natural.
Natural cause, e.g. earthquake.

God is not perfect, because he can't stop suffering.
God isn't all-loving, because he doesn't stop people from suffering.
