How is an online course?
Until the 1990s the courses were based mainly on text.
In some cases the documents were sent by mail.
The computer served as a mediator between the person and the text.
As of the year 2000, the courses are designed specifically for the internet.
LMS
Learning Management Systems.
Permit the organization and standardization of the elements of the course: content, communication, activities.
LMS allow the division of the courses by sessions, lessons, modules, etc.
MLS allow the development of tests and evaluations, tests, discussion forums.
Examples: BlackBoard and Moodle.
E-learning 2.0
It is a community based on the apprentice-apprentice model

Information on how to get around the course.
Custom welcome messages
General information about the course, the required technology, resources, etc.
Log accounts for teachers and students
Advice on the use of interactive tools.
