client enjoys reading outside during the day
client plays fetch with dog every morning
Shower adaptations
add no slip mat to preexisting shower bench (Hegg, 2014)
client does not want to remodel bathroom because he believes he will get back to his level of functional mobility pre-CVA
add multiple shower grab bars (101Mobility.com)

wife would like to keep a decorative shower
client and wife do not want their bathroom looking like a hospital bathroom
grab bar needs to be stylish but functional
Single story home = No lifts or elevators in home

Client wants to toilet on his own without his wife's help

difficulties hearing the doorbell ring or someone knocking at front door
could use a home alarm system to alert when someone is at the door
able to access via phone mounted to right side of power chair
often have visitors but it is important for client to make his home secure for his wife, dog, and family (especially when the grandchildren visit)
