Homeostasis
-
passive transport
-
Diffusion, facilitated diffusion, osmosis
high to low, large molecules and requires membrane protein, movement of water and across the membrane.
movement of molecules with the concentraition gradient and movement from high to low and does not required energy.
Active transport
-
pumps, endocytosis, exocytosis
Movement of cell membrane to bring molecules into the cell. Endo=inside. vesicle to move molecules from the cell. EXO=ezit
Tonicity
Hypertonic, hypotonic, isotonic
Hyper is more concentration on the outside of the cell. causes the cell to shrink. Hypotonic is less concentration on the inside causes the cell to swell. Isotonic is the same amount of concentration on the inside and outside of the cell. Not all will change.
