Church Principles
Acts
New Staff Members
Acts 1:12-23 (Casting Lots to decide who would become the new disciple after Judas). With the betrayal of Judas, someone needed to fill in the whole to become the twelfth disciple. In order to do so, they cast lots in order to make it the fairest (probability only God would be able to control).
This is important because it showed how God worked in all of them to figure out who would be the twelfth disciple within their group. It also showed how Peter set out the requirements for team members and the steps they would need to take to identify the right person, as well as the basic job description. We can use similar guidelines today as well.

Generous Giving
Acts 4:34-37 (Handling Money within the Church) The leaders had the responsibility to properly handle the Lord’s money, but the people had the joyful opportunity to give generously as a blessing to others. It's this principle of being better to give than to receive that Jesus was key on focusing on.
This is important because it set up a guideline for how the church's system of tithing was to work, as well as further dive into the concept of how we are to give more than we receive in order to help other people and share the love of Christ.

Outreach
Many volunteer work opportunities such as working in the Hope kitchen and feeding to many less fortunate people, simply greeting people when they walk in to make them feel welcomed, etc.
This is very important within the church community, for being able to provide more jobs/ways to share the love of Christ draws people in and allows them to make an impact - progressively - more and more people.

Ease of Access
There is an online live stream every week on certain days at specific times in order for families to make it part of their weekly routine, for not every family is able to make it to church every single week.
Not every family is able to drive to church and accommodate their scheduling, so by providing an opportunity for families like mine to listen to the word of Christ being preached out wherever we go (especially with the increase of millennials and even younger audiences
SIMILARITIES
Both are very keen on the idea of generous giving. Hope is able to accomplish a lot within the community due to its large reliance on the Lord providing in terms of economics (just like that of Paul and Peter).
Both the original Christian church and Hope were/are able to reach out to numerous amounts of people, affecting their perspectives and views of life through Christ. I can personally say that Hope has helped me strengthen my relationship with Christ through its youth ministry programs and great sermons.
Both are/were all over the place, able to access many people and their lives as we know it.
Differences
Use of Technology
With today's modern day society, Lutheran Church of Hope is able to do things such as live streaming their services on their website, which was something you were unable to do 2000 years ago.
Deciding New Staff
I am pretty sure that Hope doesn't cast lots to see who is able to go on staff next as that process is timely and outdated, but they still go through great lengths to decide who is to be added to their staff.
