The Trystlein
The Painted Dragon
Eloquin Loquilen. Scholar and creepy owl man
Lives here. He says he is immortal and has lived '100 lives of men'
-
You were attacked by a Yochol in your rooms and chased it into the alleyway, where you defeated it along with a quasit, they both turned into black puddles as scurried away after dropping small black shards
The Trystlein guard
The Guard has been overwhelmed and decimated by a massive global demonic incursion on a world named 'The crucible', you saw the aftermath of this catastrophe lining the main road to the trystlein bastion on your way to meet the ceedant
Ioun
A strange gross man with a decapitated head for a wife who called himself 'Utter' and was driving a massive wain pulled by hundreds of tribal warriors that appeared to be filled with spirits, gave you a 📦 containing a quill which pierced your skull, led you to a great library that was all wrecked and chaotic where you received a note from the goddess of knowledge, and got a dope forehead tattoo.
An extremely positive and go lucky Sater named Kazmer appears to be hanging out with you in coin form now, I bet he is stoked about that.
-
The Boiler plate letter from the goddess instructed you to ' seek the throne of skulls..err... Scrolls..defo Scrolls.
The Ceedant
The Ceedant says she is the mortal rep. of the celestial planes and lives for a before being replaced, She says you have been granted signs by your gods and chosen especially by them for tasks. She outlined the nature of the thrones of power and their physical locations on the body of the dead god of the humans in the exact middle of the remaining astral sea.
The last fortress of the Baatezu 'the devils' has been overrun and the god of the nine hells, asmodeus slain. Shar, sister to selune, has been slain, along with many minor and major gods it would seem.
Ratatusk
You followed the goop left by the ratatusk copy of Ulthaar to an inn named 'The Bore', after a short but eventful journey into its mouth/door. Captain Hollien Kesopton and his son Jimmet. Kesopton led you to the Ceedant
after seeing the Ceedant you went back to 'The Bore' where you slept a man named "ishi" tending the desk of what seemed like a messed up brothel, You went into a ratatusk door behind him and ignored the creepy goblinoid doorman
After entering the door you found the source of the ratatusk door, and many portals leading out of different rooms, you murdered a aberation or two who were guarding the door, as well as a demon who seemed to be guarding a mining operation into the dead gods eye.
You walked past two Kimono clad woman bound at the neck by a golden chain named 'Hetha' and 'Aemi' who talked said "We have the Head, it is on its way"
'He who was' visited you in your sleep, telling you he is 'recruiting gods' and giving you visions of demons wheeling a large pure black disc pulled by prisoners towards a trystlein hole, he referred to the disc as his 'right pupil' and himself as 'the god of the humans'. #
After emerging from the Ratatusk door, you are confronted with A Kishi demon named 'Ishi the wanderer', he stalls you , his mistresses 'Hetha and Aemi' confront you and attempt to make a deal; deliver a black box covered in sigils and runes to the city of Obelisk, or have all the souls from Ulthars world of the crucible be consumed by their father, the Demogorgon. You accept their offer and sign a carefully worded contract.
-
Whats in the booooooox?!
You learn that the last bastion of the Devils 'Baatezu" has been stormed, and that the white knife thinks that the box contains the head of the god Asmodeus. It seems that the demogorgon and demons 'Taanari' wanted to use the severed head of a dead god, to Break the great protective ward centered on the city of Obelisk to shatter the diminishing celestial protection of the Trystlein, and open all the worlds therein to exploitation by the armies of the Taanari.
-
The Thuun
You learn that scions of the illithidoid race who refer to themselves as 'The Thuun' have taken residence of The Dead God's head. You see signs of warding against demons in the Ratatusk door in the qualith language of the Thuun, although they seem to be cooperating with the Demons on some level. You attack and murder a helpless be-tentacled doorman and the tentacle monster who comes to investigate. This makes them angry it seems
The Demogorgon
Through burned arm and hushed whisper you learn that The big D's have ascended to godhood by eating up a world full of souls. It seems that Aemi and Hetha were looking to usurp their fathers wishes and make a bid for his power by making a deal with you....
